Biotium Cytokeratin 6A (KRT6A) (Basal Cell Marker)(rKRT6A/2100), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This MAb recognizes a protein of 56 kDa, identified as cytokeratin 6A (KRT6A). In humans, multiple isoforms of Cytokeratin 6 (6A-6F), encoded by several highly homologous genes, have distinct tissue expression patterns. Cytokeratin 6A is the dominant form in epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 6 and 16 are expressed in keratinocytes, which are undergoing rapid turnover in the suprabasal region (also known as hyper-proliferation-related keratins). Cytokeratin 6 is found in hair follicles, suprabasal cells of a variety of internal stratified epithelia, in epidermis, in both normal and hyper-proliferative situations. Epidermal injury results in activation of keratinocytes, which express KRT6 and KRT16. KRT6 is strongly expressed in about 75% of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dy

Biotium TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase) (Thyroid Marker)(TPO/3813R), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Thyroperoxidase (TPO) is a 933-amino acid, type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a key role in thyroid gland function and autoimmunity. It is present as a dimer on the apical surface of thyroid follicular cells. TPO functions in the iodination of tyrosine residues in thyroglobulin and phenoxy-ester formation between pairs of iodinated tyrosines to generate the thyroid hormones, thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Mutations in this gene are associated with several disorders of thyroid hormonogenesis, including congenital hypothyroidism, congenital goiter, and thyroid hormone organification defect IIA. Malignant thyroid tumors exhibit an anomaly in TPO resulting in lower affinity for anti-TPO. This antibody may aid in the differentiation between benign and malignant thyroid tumors. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluores

Biotium Thrombomodulin / CD141 (Endothelial Cell Marker) (THBD/1782), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
This antibody recognizes a protein of 75 kDa, identified as Thrombomodulin. Thrombomodulin is a transmembrane glycoprotein with natural anticoagulant properties. It is normally expressed by a restricted number of cells, such as endothelial and mesothelial cells. In addition, synovial lining and syncytio-trophoblasts of placenta also express thrombomodulin. This protein is present in almost all of benign vascular tumors and majority of malignant vascular tumors (Kaposi's sarcoma, angiosarcoma, and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma). Hence, anti-thrombomodulin serves as a sensitive marker for lymphatic endothelial cells and their tumors. Recently, thrombomodulin antibody has been used for mesothelial cells and malignant mesotheliomas.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for

Biotium MMP9 (MMP9/2025R), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
The matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are a family of peptidase enzymes responsible for the degradation of extracellular matrix components, including collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, laminin and proteoglycan. Transcription of MMP genes is differentially activated by phorbol ester, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB). MMP catalysis requires both calcium and zinc. MMP-9 (also designated 92 kDa type IV collagenase or gelatinase B) has been shown to degrade bone collagens in concert with MMP-1 (also designated interstitial collagenase, fibroblast collagenase or collagenase-1), and cysteine proteases and may play a role in bone osteoclastic resorption. MMP-1 is down-regulated by p53, and abnormality of p53 expression may contribute to joint degradation in rheumatoid arthritis by regulating MMP-1 expression.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. Biotium MMP3 (Marker of Metastasis and Rheumatoid Arthritis)(MMP3/2806), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
MMP-3, MMP-10 and MMP-11 (also designated stromelysin-1, 2 and 3, respectively) activate procollagenase. MMP-3 activation of procollagenase can occur via two pathways. Direct activation by MMP-3 is slow and activation by MMP-3 in conjunction with tissue or plasma proteinases is rapid. MMP-10 is expressed in small intestine, and at lower levels in lung and heart. MMP-11 is specifically expressed in stromal cells of breast carcinomas and contributes to epithelial cell malignancies. Biotium MSH2 (DNA Mismatch Repair Marker)(MSH2/2622), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Mutations in DNA mismatch repair genes are associated with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC). Initially, inherited mutations in the MSH2 and MLH1 homologs of the bacterial DNA mismatch repair genes MutS and MutL were found at high frequency in HNPCC and were shown to be associated with microsatellite instability. The demonstration that 10 to 45% of pancreatic, gastric, breast, ovarian and small cell lung cancers also display microsatellite instability has been interpreted to suggest that DNA mismatch repair is not restricted to HNPCC tumors but is a common feature in tumor initiation or progression. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific back

Biotium STAT5B(STAT5B/2611), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Signal transducer and activator of transcription 5A (Stat5a) and Stat5b, which share 96% homology, undergo receptor tyrosine kinase or G protein-coupled receptor-dependent phosphorylation in response to cytokines or growth factors, and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the nucleus, where they initiate transcription. Activation of Stat5a via IL-2, IL-3, IL-7/ GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin and growth hormones influences proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis in lymphohematopoietic cells. Phosphorylation of Stat5a at Ser127/Ser128 and Ser779 are contigent on ErbB-4-mediated activation of Stat5a. Activation of Stat5b via IL-2, IL-4, CSF-1 and growth hormones influences TCR signaling, apoptosis, adult mammary gland development and sexual dimorphism of liver gene expression. Stat5b is the major liver-expressed Stat5 form that has been shown to fuse with the retinoic acid receptor a gene in acute promyelocytic leukemias (APLL). Stat5a/b null mice hav

Biotium SOX2 (Embryonic Stem Cell Marker)(rSOX2/1792), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
SOX2 is required for stem cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and it also regulates gene expression in the stomach. SOX2 is necessary for regulating multiple transcription factors that affect Oct 3/4 expression. An essential function of SOX2 is to stabilize embryonic stem cells in a pluripotent state by maintaining the requisite level of Oct 3/4 expression. Reportedly, SOX2 is associated with aggressive phenotypes of breast, head and neck, gastric, colorectal, bladder, and small cell lung cancers. However, SOX2 is expressed in a high percentage of lung squamous cell carcinomas and has been shown to be an independent favorable prognostic marker. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium NRF1(NRF1/2609), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
The NF-E2 DNA binding protein is composed of two subunits, p45 and MafK, and it regulates expression of globin genes in developing erythroid cells through interaction with Maf recognition elements (MAREs). A family of NF-E2 related proteins, which are collectively known as the Cap 'n' collar (CNC) family and include Nrf1 (also designated TCF11), Nrf2 and Nrf3, are bZIP transcription factors that heterodimerize with Maf proteins to bind MARE sequences. The Nrf proteins also bind the antioxidant response element (ARE) and are implicated in the regulation of detoxification enzymes and the oxidative stress response. They do so by heterodimerizing with Jun family members (c-Jun, JunB and JunD) to activate gene expression, specifically the detoxifying enzyme, NQO1. Nrf2 is widely expressed and is thought to translocate to the nucleus after treatment with xenobiotics and antioxidants, which stimulate its release from a repressor protein Keap1. Nrf3 is highly expressed in placenta, B

Biotium AKT1 (Prognostic Marker for Neuroendocrine Tumors)(AKT1/2491), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
AKT1 is a 62 kDa protein and member of the serine/threonine kinase AKT family. AKT1 is also known as Protein Kinase B (PKB) or Rac Protein Kinase Alpha. The Akt family also includes AKT2. Activation of AKT1 by insulin or insulin-growth factor-1 (IGF-1) results in phosphorylation of both Thr 308 and Ser 473. AKT proteins become phosphorylated and activated in insulin/IGF-1-stimulated cells by an upstream kinase(s), and the activation of AKT1 and AKT2 is inhibited by the PI kinase inhibitor wortmannin. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

Biotium Cadherin 17 / LI Cadherin (Liver-Intestine Marker)(CDH17/2616), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Cadherin 17, also known as LI cadherin (for liver-intestine cadherin), is a member of the cadherin family of calcium-dependent adhesion molecules. Cadherins mediate cell-cell interactions via hemophilic binding, and are critical to the maintenance of tissue structure and morphogenesis. Cadherins each contain a large extracellular domain at the amino terminus, which is characterized by a series of five homologous repeats, the most distal of which is thought to be responsible for binding specificity. The relatively short carboxy terminal, intracellular domain interacts with a variety of cytoplasmic proteins, including beta-catenin, to regulate cadherin function. Cadherin 17 expression is restricted to liver and intestine tissues and is specifically localized to the basolateral domain of hepatocytes and enterocytes. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. N
